After an AI Referral, Can the Customer Confirm You Handle the Job?
An AI referral only helps when the visitor can confirm you handle their job in their area.
The useful task is to make those facts easy to find. You can't promise that an AI service will recommend you.
Describe the service you actually provide
Calling a service simply plumbing may leave the important question unanswered. Does the business handle the particular work the customer needs?
Suppose a fictional HVAC business installs and repairs furnaces, air conditioners and mini splits. If it serves Pembina County, say so.
For an actual business, list only the services it offers. Name the towns or areas it serves and any limits that matter.
If emergency work isn't available, don't write copy that suggests it is. The reader needs a usable answer, not a hopeful guess.
Make the business details agree
Keep your phone number, hours and service information current on the site. Check that the corresponding public business listings are also correct.
A service area and a storefront address do different jobs. A business that visits customers shouldn't invent a shop people can visit.
Google's Business Profile guidance distinguishes those arrangements. Use the setup that reflects how you actually work.
Real project photos can explain the kind of work you do. Use accurate captions and permission to publish the images.
Answer questions because customers need the answers
A visitor may need to know whether you take that job, cover that town or have a useful contact route.
Put the answer beside the relevant service. A separate FAQ can help when there are several common questions worth explaining.
There isn't a magic paragraph length that makes an AI system choose you. More text isn't proof that the answer is better.
Structured data labels information for machines. It needs to match the visible page and doesn't guarantee a recommendation.
Google says pages need ordinary Search eligibility for supporting links in its AI features. There are no extra technical requirements for them.
Separate access choices from promises about visibility
Crawler rules affect which systems can fetch a page. Search access and permission for model training are separate choices.
This crawler-access guide explains that distinction before you change a rule.
The service-question writing guide looks at clearer content. Neither route offers guaranteed AI referrals.
You can also read why the website still matters once someone reaches it.
Make the service information clearer
Tell me which jobs you take and where you work. We can turn those facts into useful pages.
